Quality standards

Three separate scorecards for design, development and SEO readiness. Evidence comes before a grade.

Custom evaluation rubric

An evaluation rubric for TV Mount Australia website work. Reference date: 29 September 2026. These weights are custom criteria, not an official Google, WCAG or Nielsen score.

Scoring method

Score each criterion from 0 to 4: 0 absent/broken, 1 substantial gaps, 2 partly meets, 3 meets with minor gaps, 4 fully demonstrated in the tested scope. Weighted points = criterion weight × grade / 4. Attach route, viewport, date and evidence to each result.

Keep design, development and SEO totals separate, each out of 100. Record unknown/untested weight separately; it is not a pass or automatically a fail. Do not announce a complete total until applicable criteria are assessed. Show evidence coverage and critical blockers alongside the score. No amount of cosmetic points cancels broken lead delivery, exposed private data or broken valuable URLs.

Design — 100 points

  • Authentic identity and correct logo — 10.
  • Distinct relevant hero/opening on every marketing page — 15.
  • Clear offer, locality and primary action — 15.
  • Visual hierarchy and readable typography — 10.
  • Dedicated, predictable menu destinations — 10.
  • Page-specific composition and content completeness — 10.
  • Mobile visual treatment and touch ergonomics — 10.
  • Genuine proof and truthful imagery — 10.
  • Coherent accessible colour/focus/states — 5.
  • Appropriate enquiry guidance, reassurance and recovery — 5.

Distinct marketing imagery is a TV Mount design requirement, not a universal usability standard. Utility/legal/resource pages are assessed on clear reading hierarchy, not forced marketing photography.

Development — 100 points

  • Responsive behavior across phone, tablet and desktop — 20.
  • Keyboard, focus, semantics, contrast and labels — 20.
  • Representative-page performance measurements — 15.
  • Real enquiry validation, storage, delivery and failure recovery — 20.
  • Safe private-data handling and abuse controls — 10.
  • Working routes, images, links, downloads and no-JavaScript essentials — 10.
  • Maintainability, repeatable QA and recoverable release — 5.

Use Lighthouse as repeatable lab evidence, not a full security/accessibility certificate. Record test conditions and manual checks. Real-user performance is a separate measurement; do not infer it from a single lab run.

SEO readiness — 100 points

  • Crawl/index controls appropriate to environment — 15.
  • Canonicals, status codes, sitemap and URL compatibility — 15.
  • Useful service/search-intent content — 15.
  • Legitimate local coverage and programmatic destinations — 15.
  • Titles, descriptions, headings and internal discovery — 10.
  • Accurate business/contact information and structured data — 10.
  • Verified proof, source clarity and policy destinations — 10.
  • Measurement baseline, landing-page outcomes and migration monitoring — 10.

Use indexing controls appropriate to the environment. Do not remove staging noindex to improve a tool score. Ranking performance, backlinks and Maps visibility are separate observations, not inferred from readiness points.
